The Human Rights Commission (HRC), a radical homosexual activist group, has successfully shut down the broadcast of a Christian program that tells the truth about the homosexual lifestyle and its agenda to silence Christians.
The program entitled “Speechless: Silencing Christians” is a powerful new documentary produced by the American Family Association that features experts on the homosexual agenda. When HRC discovered the program was about to be aired they sent out an alert to their constituents. HRC urged all their activists to call the TV stations where the program was scheduled and urge the stations to pull the programs. As a result of harassing calls from across the nation WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids caved in and canceled the Speechless.
Tragic Irony It is a terrible irony that a program about silencing Christians is silenced through intimidation. It is not as ironic as it is a tragic example of exactly what the program Speechless alleges. Christians are being shut down simply because they desire to be faithful to their Christian values and beliefs.
HRC Lies HRC’s director of Religion and Faith Program, Harry Knox claimed that the program promotes “spiritual violence” against the homosexual community. So honest disagreement with the homosexual agenda is now a form of “violence”.
We cannot be silent and let HRC get away with this kind of slander.
If we don’t stop this attack on our freedom of speech and religious liberty we will lose even more of our rights. If telling the truth is reduced to a form of violence, soon the gospel itself will be silenced because there will always be some group of people who will find it objectionable.
Don’t Be Speechless
