Journalist Fired for Defending Marriage Print E-mail
Monday, 28 December 2009 00:00

Maine ElectionsIn this past November’s elections, the state of Maine voted against legalizing same-sex marriage. Following the defeat, the Human Rights Campaign, a homosexual advocacy group, issued a bitter and misleading press release. It said that the campaign against same sex marriage was filled with lies and hate.

The press release went to the newspaper Maine Today. Larry Grard, a Christian journalist working for the newspaper, read the statement and was deeply bothered. So after work on his own time he sent an e-mail defending traditional marriage to the Human Rights Campaign.

They complained to the newspaper and it cost him Larry his job of nineteen years. A week later Grard’s wife would be fired from the same newspaper.

TAKE ACTION:

Help us stand up for the Grard family just like they stood up for Christian marriage. Contact Maine Today’s editor, Karen Beaudoin, and demand that they re-hire the Grard’s.

This article and the story were so amazing. I was moved by God to take
action. I called Karen at the Maine Today paper, and when she gave me the
run-around, I e-mailed her.

I feel happy now

I am so glad I have
done my part and now my soul can rest easy. Cheers!
