Top 10 Anti-Christian Acts of 2009 Print E-mail
Monday, 04 January 2010 05:16

CADC has just released our list of the top ten incidents of anti-Christian defamation, bigotry and discrimination in the US Top 10 listfrom last year. The list was selected by you, our readers, by narrowing down the top ten from a list of twenty of CADC’s top stories from 2009.

It is arguable that anti-Christian hatred has spilled over into material forms of persecution in 2009. Christians were killed and bullied for their witness, ministers and churches threatened with violence and vandalized for standing for marriage, and Christians were fired for not compromising their faith. If these are not bona fide examples of persecution, than I wonder what more it might take?

The Top Ten Anti-Christian headlines for 2009 according to you are

10. Pro-life Pastor Reverend Walter Hoye of Oakland, CA was jailed for exercising peaceful, pro-life speech.

9.    Rev. Fred Winters was murdered while preaching in his pulpit in Maryville, Illinois.

8.    HBO’s program "Curb Your Enthusiasm" aired an episode where the main actor urinates on painting of Jesus. When confronted HBO would not apologize.

Sadly, the Christian community has put the Orthodox Jew on a pedestal alongside
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Few have bothered to read the teachings
and instructions that these people live by. To speak or write against them is
"Anti-Semetic". Yet! They believe anyone other than themselves is less
than a dog and should be killed! I would consider that a "Hate Crime"!
They, most ***urably would, if we taught the same about them. They even jok...

Sadly, you have put all the Christian community into the same barrel. A true
Christian does believe that Israel is God's chosen people and that whoever
blesses Israel shall be blessed and whoever curses Israel shall be cursed, that
Israel's eyes have been blinded to make room for the gentiles to come into the
knowledge of Jesus Christ and God's plan of salvation. The time will come at
the end of our world that "and so, all Israel shall be saved."

Just a clarification. I agree that there are many (not all) in Christianity that
have raised the Jewish people to something of an idol, which is entirely wrong.
Not all Israel are Israel. (Romans 9) It is not the natural born, but those of
faith, the elect that receive the promised salvation. And the whole "end of
the world" sentiment is a great thing, but until then we need to preach to
the Jews and not wait just for the Lord to come and save them. Many will ...

All of this has come about because Christians have not been the light and salt
we are commanded to be. Christians hide their heads in the sand for many years
and didn't start getting politically active until of late. I fear that the
majority of Christians are still so ignorant of the issues and so fragmented in
their resistance to evil that little will be accomplished. I sincerely hope I'm
wrong. By the way, Jarnkm is wrong about the Jews.

Item #4 - How did the little girl become a target of the activist judge? What
does her father think about this?

I don't understand what's wrong with people. What kind person could say abortion
is right? What kind of person could murder someone else for sharing the truth?
God bless all the true Christians left out there and may He straighten the minds
of those in the dark.
