Egypt's Anti-Christian Violence Goes Unpunished Print E-mail

Under the rule of President Mubarak, Egypt has been one of the most hostile nations towards Christians. Christians are Cairo, Egyptsupposed to be protected under Egyptian law, but hatred towards Christians runs deep in Egypt's mosques, media and educational system. Christians continue to be murdered and intimidated without any protection or justice by the government.

Just recently a drive-by gunmen opened fire while worshipers were exiting a Christmas celebration. Seven people were instantly killed, and others were seriously injured.

But President Mubarak refuses to stop the violent attacks. He has never once, over the past 30 years, addressed the issue or offered support towards the Egyptian Christian community.

The United States government has been sent tens of billions of dollars to Egypt for foreign aid. We must pressure our government to stop sending aid as long as Egypt refuses to protect Christians.

TAKE ACTION:

Contact the U.S. Department of State and demand that they put pressure on Egypt to stop the innocent killings and violence towards Christians.
